Birthstones are not a new phenomenon. Charm bracelets and necklaces were adorned with pretty, sparkling semiprecious stones. Most months have two semi-precious and one precious stone associated with it. 200 years ago, your "suitor" may have given you a "Promise ring" with his birthstone as a way to let others know that you were not free to date. Today, you can choose whose birthstone to wear. We can make a custom piece that has 4 or 5 birthstones for your family or favourite 4 legged companion.
